FleetIT is the most cost-effective way to manage toll-by-plate invoices, toll violations, parking violations, and camera violations. FleetIT services fleets of all sizes, including car/truck rental, trailer/equipment rental, as well as fleet and leasing management companies.
How the FleetIT Integration Works
FleetIT will initially grab all the vehicles from Fleetio and then update them in the FleetIT system daily at 8 a.m. (UTC time zone). Once FleetIT receives new tolls or ticket violations, Expense Entries are pushed to Fleetio for the corresponding vehicles with the standard and custom fields listed below.
Adding the Integration
- Follow the Fleetio API Keys guide to generate a key and access your account token.
- Add the API Key and Token in the FleetIT Dashboard.
- Once entered, you'll see Fleetio in your FleetIT Dashboard.

NOTE: The user generating the API Key and Token needs to have Fleetio permissions to view/edit Vehicles, Expense Entry Type, Custom fields, and Expense Entries.
Expense Entry Custom Fields
For the integration to function properly, the following expense entry custom fields need to be added:
- license_plate
- registration_state
- ticket_id
- fleetit_fee
- posting_date
- transaction_date_time
- exit_plaza
- cash_cost
- agency
- vehicle_number
NOTE: In order to properly link expense entries between Fleetio and FleetIT, the license_plate and registration_state for vehicles in Fleetio need to match the vehicles in your FleetIT account.
