After you understand general concepts regarding Fleetio Vehicle Meters and individual meter management, you may find there are times when you need to make changes to multiple Meter Readings at once. Bulk Meter Management in Fleetio enables you to view ALL meter readings for the entire fleet and offers powerful views and actions.

TIP: For an introduction to Vehicle Meters and how to work with them, see Meter Overview. Check out the Meter Entry - Add or Update and Meter Entry - Edit or Delete articles to manage meter readings for individual Vehicles.

To view and manage all readings for your entire fleet, click Vehicles in the Sidebar Navigation, then click Meter History.

NOTE: You may also navigate to any Vehicle Details Page and click the Meter History tab to work with meter readings for a single Vehicle.

Search, filter, and sort this list to find relevant data. Click Filters for additional filters to further refine your results, such as by Fuel Card entries.

If the default list is missing a field you want to see, you can manage the displayed columns by clicking Index Settings and selecting Manage Columns.

Hover over a row and click the More Actions Button for available options (Edit, Void/Unvoid, View Record History, Delete). You can also select a linked record entry to edit the issue or Service Entry directly.

Some meter reading sources limit the actions you can take in Fleetio:

  • Manual Entry - Manually entered Meter Readings are available to edit directly, mark as void, or delete.
  • Linked Record Entry - Meter Readings associated with a linked record (e.g. Inspection, Fuel Entry, Service Entry, Vehicle Assignment, etc.) may be edited or marked as void.
  • Integration Entry - Meter Readings created via Integration cannot be edited but may be marked as void or deleted.

To Void, Unvoid, or Delete multiple entries from the list, select the checkboxes for the records you want to change (a), then click the Actions Drop-down Menu (b) and choose the action.

NOTE: The Unvoid process starts with the first chronological entry and attempts to Unvoid each meter reading in sequence by date. If an entry cannot be marked Unvoid, Fleetio will stop the process at this entry.

IMPORTANT: Fleetio will only allow you to void or unvoid selected entries that are consistent. You can only bulk void valid entries and bulk unvoid voided entries. Meter entries linked to other source records, like Service Entries, may not be deleted individually; therefore, they cannot be deleted in bulk.
