Intellishift Integration

IntelliShift integrates with Fleetio to automate telematics, driver, and engine diagnostic data needed to proactively manage and report on daily maintenance operations.

IntelliShift is an API Integration and includes the following features:

What You Need to Know

Inspect Issues - Fleetio Issues with Work Order Updates

When an IntelliShift user fails a checkpoint item and has that checkpoint set up to create an issue in IntelliShift, IntelliShift will immediately create an Issue in the Fleetio system.

That issue can then be put into the workflow to be resolved in Fleetio.

Once the Issue is resolved in Fleetio, IntelliShift will close the Issue and add any comments to the IntelliShift Issue made in Fleetio.

  • Comments include Date, Time, and User who added the comment.

Issue WorkOrder Integration

When IntelliShift identifies a vehicle issue during an operator's inspection, Technicians in Fleetio can now assign the Issue to a corresponding Work Order in Fleetio.

Once the Work Order is closed in Fleetio, IntelliShift will automatically capture the mechanic's name and any notes associated with the repair.

  • This valuable information provides a clear audit trail within IntelliShift for the Fleet Manager and Operator for each Issue.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) with Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - Fleetio Faults

Each mobile group will have parameters to set up when a DTC with MIL should be sent to Fleetio as a Fault:

  • How long in hours the DTC with MIL has been on for
    • For example, send to Fleetio after the MIL light has been on for 2 hours
  • These DTCs that are known to cause major engine failures will be immediately sent to Fleetio:
    • OBD II- P0218, P0298, P2560, P0455, P0524, P0300, P0120, P0121, P0122, P0123, P0124, P2111, P2135, P0217, P2105, P250F, P070F, P0868, P0869

When a DTC with MIL meets the above parameters, IntelliShift will send that DTC to Fleetio as a Fault.

Prepare Fleetio Account

The Vehicle Name or VIN can be used to match data between Fleetio and IntelliShift. Ensure that the Vehicle Names or VINs match in both systems.

Integration Setup

  1. Create an API key in Fleetio
    Follow the Fleetio API Keys guide to generate a key and access your account token.
  2. Contact
    Email the Fleetio API Key and Account Token to IntelliShift Support, Customer Success, or your Account Manager contact.

NOTE: The setup time to enable the integration is 48 Hours.
