Fleetio's Advanced Analytics integrates data from multiple sources within Fleetio, providing you with enhanced data visualizations and actionable insights into your fleet operations.
IMPORTANT: Advanced Analytics is only available with the Fleetio Premium plan.
PERMISSIONS: Only Account Owners and Administrators can access Advanced Analytics. See User Management Overview for more information.

To access Advanced Analytics, click Reports in the Sidebar Navigation and select Advanced Analytics.

Dashboards
Advanced Analytics organizes your data into Dashboards based on use cases that best represent your reporting needs.
Each Dashboard pulls live data from Fleetio. When you interact with your Dashboards, you're querying the current data in Fleetio.

Manage Dashboards
To change the Dashboards you see, click the Manage Dashboards button and use the checkboxes to select your Dashboards.

Filters
The Filters at the top of each Dashboard allow you to filter all data on that Dashboard by Vehicle Group/Sub-Group, Vehicle Type, or Vehicle Make.

Click on a Filter and use the checkboxes to select your values.
In the filter pop-up, you can:
- Include the selected values in your data
- Exclude the selected values from your data
- Search for a specific value
- Select all values

- Click Add values in bulk (e) to open a text-based filter where you can manually type or paste values.
- Separate multiple values with a comma (,) or a semicolon (;) or by putting them on separate lines. Use (\) to escape any of the separators, and click Add values to add them to your selected values.

Once you've selected your values, click the Apply button.
Tiles
Tiles show specific insights and KPIs based on the Dashboard you're on and the filters you've selected. They may be charts, graphs, tables, or sometimes just numbers.

Tile Actions
Tiles are interactive, giving you access to additional features and actions to further explore and examine your data and insights.
All tiles contain an Explore button (a) and a More Actions button (b). Some tiles also have a Create Alert button (c).
- Click Explore to look further into the data shown in the tile. See Exploring Tiles below.
- Click the More Actions Button to Pin, Show Underlying Data, Download, or Manage Alerts
- Click the Create Alert Button to send notifications for anomalies, thresholds, or on a specific schedule. See Alerts below.
- Tiles containing charts, graphs, or tables also contain additional actions, which are covered in more detail below.

Exploring Tiles
Clicking the Explore button on a tile will open the Explore window, where you can further manipulate the data from that tile.
The additional filters available here use the data points that make up the original metric. In other words, the data points here are what is used “behind the scenes” to display the data shown in the tile.
As you manipulate the data, the visualization shown will reflect the changes you make.
You can take the following actions in the Explore window:
- Filter - Add additional filters to the data. Search the list of available filters or select a suggestion
- Add - Add your own column to the data. Search the list of available columns or select a suggestion
- Replace - Use the drop-down menu to select a column to replace, or select a suggestion
- Compare - Use search to compare your own values or select a suggestion
- More Actions Button - Click to Show Underlying Data or Download
- Pin - Click to pin the tile with your selections to a Custom Dashboard
- Click the Values (g) to modify them or click the x to remove
- For tiles with charts and graphs, you also have access to chart and graph actions

Click the Close button to close the Explore window.
NOTE: Changes to data made in the Explore window will not be reflected in the tile after you close the window unless you Pin it to a Custom Dashboard.
Show Underlying Data
Selecting Show Underlying Data from the More Actions Button on a tile or in the Explore window will open a table containing the underlying data for that tile.

You can take the following actions in the Show Underlying Data window:
- Click Edit Columns to add or remove columns from the table
- Search for a column by name and use the checkboxes to select your desired columns, then click Done.
- Search for a column by name and use the checkboxes to select your desired columns, then click Done.
- Click Download CSV to download a CSV file of the table shown
- You can also click and drag on the column headers to reorder the table
NOTE: Aggregated data is unavailable when viewing underlying data.
Download
Selecting Download from the More Actions Button on a tile will open a download window where you can select PNG, XLSX, or CSV format for your download.
Chart and Graph Actions
Hover your cursor over a section of a chart or graph to view additional insights into that segment of data.
Click on data points in the chart to focus on only one or a few categories within the chart.

For charts containing an X and/or Y axis, click on the axis to adjust the metric.
You can change the Time Bucket (time frame) of the data shown, Filter the axis by a particular data point, or Sort by ascending or descending.

Right-click on a section of a chart or graph to Filter, Drill down, or Show underlying data.

- Selecting Filter will apply that value as a filter to all data in the Dashboard. This will be reflected in the filters at the top of the page:
- Selecting Drill down opens additional values for you to filter that segment of data:

- Selecting a value will refresh the tile, showing you that segment of data filtered by that value.
- Selecting Show underlying data will display the data used to generate that segment. See Show Underlying Data above for more information.
Download PDF
Select Download PDF from the More Actions Button at the top of any Dashboard to open a download window.

In the Download window, select your preferred Format:
- Dashboard will download the full Dashboard as it’s shown in the Advanced Analytics tool
- Visualizations will download the Dashboard with larger visualizations (one per page)
Select your Layout (either Landscape or Portrait).
Use the checkboxes to show or hide the Footer logo and page numbers.
Add optional custom Footer text.

Click the Download button to start your download.
Alerts
Alerts allow you to send notifications to specific users on a recurring schedule, or if there is a data anomaly or data has reached a specific threshold.
Create an Alert
To create a new alert for a tile, click the Create Alert button.

In the Create Alert window, you can:
- Choose the type of alert: Anomaly, Threshold, or Scheduled
- Enter an Alert name
- Choose the alert Condition and Threshold value
- For Scheduled alerts, this is where you'll select the alert frequency and time
- Select the Notification Channel to use for the alert
- Enter the names of the Subscribers who will receive email notifications for the alert
- Click the Add custom message checkbox to add a custom message to the email notification
- The KPI Query section shows you the details of the metrics, grouping, and filters for the alert

Once you've set your alert conditions, click the Create Alert button to create your alert.
Manage Alerts
To manage your alerts, click the More Actions Button on a tile and select Manage alerts.

Here you'll see a list of your alerts including the Name, Creator of the alert, and number of Subscribers.
- Click Unsubscribe to unsubscribe yourself from an alert.
- Click the More Actions button to Edit an alert, Add subscribers to the alert, or Delete it.

Schedules
Schedules allow you to send an email to specific recipients containing a snapshot of the data in the Dashboard at the selected time.
Create a Schedule
To create a new schedule:
- Click the More Actions Button at the top of any Dashboard and select Schedule > Create Schedule.

- In the Set Up Schedule section:
- Enter a Schedule name (a). A name is required and is used to identify the schedule. It is not included in the subject or body of the email sent to recipients.
- Click the Add comment checkbox (b) to add an optional comment. Added comments will be appended in the body of the email sent to recipients
- Under Send every (c), you can select the Frequency at which you would like the email sent
- You can choose to send at a set number of minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly
- Click on the days of the week to select which days the schedule will be sent
- Use the drop-down menus to choose the time
- Click the time zone (shown here as UTC) to select your preferred time zone
- Check the Add gating condition checkbox (d) to add a condition to the schedule.

Sum(revenue) > 100, or Median(quantity) < 10

- In the Select Attachment Type section:
- Use the drop-down (e) to select the file type to send in the email: PDF, XLSX, or CSV.
- If you select PDF, the Show advanced PDF settings toggle (f) will allow you to change the Format, Layout, Branding, or Footer.
- Use the drop-down (e) to select the file type to send in the email: PDF, XLSX, or CSV.
- In the Add recipients section, add the schedule recipients by name, email, or group name.

- The Views section shows the selected filters.
- Click the Create button to save your schedule.
Manage Schedules
Manage your existing schedules by clicking the More Actions button at the top of any Dashboard, and selecting Schedule > Manage schedules.

On the Manage Schedules page, you'll see a list of all schedules that you've created.
Here you can:
- Search for a specific schedule
- Click the + Create schedule button to create a new schedule
- Click the More Actions Button on a schedule row to:
- Pause or Resume the schedule
- Edit the schedule details
- View run history of the schedule
- Delete the schedule
- Use the checkboxes to select multiple schedules to Pause or Delete in bulk
