After configuring your system settings, adding your fleet vehicles, and inviting users to Fleetio, it's time to make Fleetio even more useful by adding historical information. This will give you a more complete picture of what's happening with your fleet.
Upload Documents & Photos
You can add electronic files to various areas within Fleetio (Vehicles, Contacts, Issues, Service Entries, Work Orders, and more). It's a great way to ensure that they are digitally backed up and available anywhere (including the Fleetio Go mobile app). Check out our Upload Documents and Photos article for more information and instructions.
Add Fuel Entries
Recording all of your Fuel Transactions in Fleetio is important to maximize many of Fleetio's features. Use the Fuel Entries Import Guide to load historical fuel information and take advantage of Fleetio's fuel calculations and reports.
Be sure to read up on our Fuel Card Integrations as well; this is a fully automated way to import fuel transactions into Fleetio on a regular basis.
Add Service Entries and Create Service Reminders
Recording the most recent service performed on each vehicle, the date, and the odometer reading at the time of service, is a great way to get a jump start on Service Reminders. Fleetio can use this information to help you stay on top of regularly scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. Use the Service Entries Import Guide to load this data in bulk.
If you're ready to dive a little deeper, Service Programs allow you to add a list of preventative maintenance tasks to multiple vehicles.
You can also use the Service Reminders Import Guide to add all of your Service Reminders to Fleetio at once.
Add Vendors
Fleetio makes it easy to track Vendors - the entities that service your vehicles, sell or loan vehicles, provide fuel, and much more. You can add each Vendor to Fleetio individually, or use the Vendor Import Guide to add all of your Vendors at once.
