Fleetio integrates with Lytx devices via API. This article provides key information and integration setup instructions.
Lytx is an API integration and supports the following features:

What You Need to Know
Lytx uses VINs to match vehicle records. Your VINs in Fleetio must match the VINs in Lytx.
If a vehicle cannot be mapped using its VIN, Lytx will attempt to map it using the Vehicle Name.
If both methods are unsuccessful, the vehicle will be unmapped.
NOTE: Vehicle mapping is refreshed weekly. If unmapped vehicle records are updated to have matching VINs and/or Vehicle Names, these vehicles will be mapped with the weekly refresh.
Integration Setup

Create an API key in Fleetio
Follow the Fleetio API Keys guide to generate a key and access your account token. -
Contact Lytx
- Contact api-support@lytx.com. Lytx will provide a Data Sharing Authorization Form.
- Sign the Data Sharing Authorization Form and send the form back to Lytx along with the following information:
- API Key generated from Fleetio
- Account Token from Fleetio
- An email address to receive notifications
- Whether odometer readings should be sent in miles or kilometers
- Preference for ODO, DTC, or Both
Once this information is provided, the Lytx technical support team will enable the integration.
