here are three types of notifications you can receive for Purchase Orders. These can be configured for each user in the User Notification Settings area under the Purchase Order Notifications section.
NOTE: If your users utilize Fleetio Go in Spanish, Notifications will not be translated and will appear in English. Learn more in Fleetio Go in Spanish for Administrators.

Purchase Order Commented
A user will receive a notification when purchase order comments are added by other users. Additionally, a user that is @mentioned in the comment will receive a notification alerting them to the mention.
Purchase Order Pending Approval
Applies only to users with Approve Purchase Orders permission. You’ll receive an email whenever a Purchase Order has been submitted that you can either Approve or Reject.

Purchase Order Status Changed
Applies only to users with permission to create Purchase Orders. You’ll receive an email whenever a Purchase Order you created or submitted has been Approved or Rejected.
